reworked text formatter + started summer classes

hello everyone.

a small update today, nothing too exciting.

i'm sorry updates are few and far between. i've just started my summer classes. i'm only taking two, but they are the type where the class only lasts half of the summer term, so it's more like i'm taking four. the second half will be the same, but i expect it will go a lot smoother. i'm absolutely swamped with schoolwork right now. i've filled out 36 pages of notes for the first week of my math class... and i haven't even started on greek history yet...

i got a little work done on the game. i remade the text formatting system with help from my friend kyle. it breaks sentences down into lines that don't spill over the 28-character-per-line limit, so now words won't be cut in the dialogue boxes. i'm hoping the new system will also allow me to easily integrate in choice dialogues too, which i want to have at my disposal when making the game.

i also worked on the inventory a lot more. items in your inventory now appear... in your inventory! now you can SEE how many scissors you have! items don't stack right now, but i think that's not necessarily a bad thing. there are 35 slots in the inventory, and i am seriously considering that pigeon delivery service. we will see how that goes. you can examine items from your inventory, and i have devised a system from removal of items from the inventory, but without choice dialogues it is pretty tough to find a way to implement it. all in all the inventory system is becoming very well fleshed out.

i think the game is almost ready for another small release. there won't be any new areas to explore, but the person playing will be able to mess around in the inventory and pick items up and such. for that, there is only a few more things i want to change. they would only take a single day, when i get the chance. let me read the next section from my greek history class and we will see how it goes.

thank you for reading.

really nice to see progress, even if it does seem small! dialogue boxes and the inventory system will linger around the player the entire game, so getting them the way you want them early'll be a load off your shoulders! can't wait to see all my scissors in the next release!

great work as always :D
